OPEN-DOOR PLAYHOUSE TO PRESENT FOUR PLAYS LIVE ON STAGE AT 30 MINUTES OR LESS FESTIVAL IN HOLLYWOOD ON JANUARY 18 AND 26

Open-Door Playhouse, which has become known for its award-winning and critically-acclaimed audio dramas and comedies presented online since 2020, will be presenting four of its short plays live on stage as part of the 30 Minutes or Less Festival in Hollywood at the Stephanie Feury Theater, on the main stage, 5636 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90038. Tickets will be $10 or what you can afford.

Two Girls. Two women emerge from a violent attack in this haunting and poetic dialogue. The play Two Girls delves into the harrowing realities of sexual assault, exploring the emotional turmoil and societal implications faced by survivors. Through powerful storytelling and authentic character portrayals, it aims to foster understanding, compassion, and dialogue around a subject often shrouded in silence.

Written by Allie Costa. Directed by Bernadette Armstrong. Starring Barika Phillips Bell and Ayla Rose Barreau.

The play No..? explores several poignant themes, including the complexity of trauma, the struggle for empowerment. It also addresses the nuances of consent, the journey of healing, and the often-silenced voices of survivors. Each theme is intricately woven into the narrative, inviting the audience to reflect on their own beliefs and the wider societal implications. Written by Mark SaFranko. Directed by Gary Lamb. Starring Caitlin Bell and Michael Fletcher.
