“Grape” Culture, written by Toni Nagy and Sarah Buckner, is a tragic comedy stripping back the cultural bondage of domination without consent starring comedian and internet sensation Toni Nagy and performance artist Sarah Buckner. The show will undress the consciousness of “grape culture” while stripping back the predatory and pervasive programming that is choking us all. The thrusting energy of the show is comedy – penetrated by dance, film, storytelling, clowning, stand up, and skits. We can’t think our way out of trauma, we must feel our way through it. The show begins with a big picture look at how “grape culture” has framed society and examines how the pretense of power, and illusion of control infects the systems of society while poisoning the body of our collective. Toni and Sarah work through their personal moments of how their innocence became annihilated, and together they alchemize their stories through the magic of artistic play. Toni and Sarah will pervert the pretty by unmasking the ugly truth that “grape culture” isn’t a part of our culture, it is our culture.
