Show Info

Rosie’s Brain is a musical comedy about a young woman coming of age under the thumb of chronic anxiety and OCD. The story follows Rosie from her initial struggles with anxiety as a child to her first day at college, where she faces a new challenge: a fear of dating so crippling she can’t even hold a guy’s hand. We follow Rosie as she jumps from therapist to therapist, desperately trying to unlock her fear of intimacy and find love. Through this process and many awkward, heartbreaking, and humorous experiences enacted in the show, Rosie emerges stronger, learning to trust herself despite her diagnoses. This poignant musical explores the complexities of mental health and the journey toward self-belief and resilience, all while keeping audience members laughing for the full 60 minutes. Rosie’s Brain is a must-see show for anyone who has ever felt like their brain was working against them.

Rosie’s Brain was written, composed, and performed by Evelyn Rose, a drama teacher and performing artist who currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and holds a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Rosie’s Brain premiered at The Hope Theatre in London to critical acclaim, garnering numerous four- and five-star reviews for its one-week run, and is now slated for its US premiere this summer in San Francisco at the Marsh Theatre.
