Show Info

Created by Melissa Rivera, I. We. Us. is an intimate two-character play about identity, ambition, and family secrets. Two Puerto Rican women who grew up believing they were sisters meet to discuss a recommendation that could shape the younger woman’s academic future. As their conversation unfolds, they debate literature, culture, and what it means to belong to Puerto Rico within the United States. But beneath their intellectual exchange lies a hidden truth. The revelation forces both women to confront the sacrifices behind ambition and ask whether truth can redefine—rather than destroy—the meaning of family.

The production features performances by Melissa Rivera and Naomi Ayende, who also produces.
