The Hotel Play is a site-specific collaborative play by Paula Cizmar, Velina Hasu Houston, Jennifer Maisel, Nahal Navidar, Julie Taiwo Oni, Janine Salinas Schoenberg, and Laurie Woolery. Conceived and directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera and commissioned by Center Theatre Group and Playwrights’ Arena to mark the 25th anniversary of Playwrights’ Arena.

The class of 1992 ended bitterly, marked by the civil unrest of the acquittals in the Rodney King beating trial. Today the grads are gathered together for their 25th High School Reunion.

The audience goes from hotel room to hotel room as they witness the stories of various characters wondering what might have been, what could have been, and what they hope for.

In the end everyone intersects poolside where confrontations spark and truths are revealed.
