Get Involved

If what the Los Angeles FPI is about speaks to you, there’s no time like now to get involved! Hope to see you at one of our upcoming Events, and in the meantime . . .

Playwrights:

Sign up for our Mailing List!

Tell us if you’ve got a play onstage in LA.

Consider acting as an FPI AgentAsk us how!

Let us know if you’re ready to add to our online presence, or help with our creative outreach efforts. Also, take advantage of our Resources and share others with your colleagues.

Don’t hesitate to flash your Badge, and put our Logo on your own website!

Producers and theaters:

Check out our Resources to find women playwrights and theater artists.

Let us help you find an audience through our  LA Theater Task Force.

And support what we’re doing here by helping us spread the word! Ask us for Badges to give to your patrons.  Display our Logo on your programs, promotional materials and websites.

Theatergoers and theater artists :

Throw your weight around, and make it a point to see plays by women on LA-area stages. Better yet, bring some friends with you.  There is strength in numbers – especially at the box office.

Find out where to go and see Women at Work Onstage, and check out our LA Theater Task Force for FPI Meets and LA FPI Discounts.

The next time you’re in a theater, look for our Logo.  If you don’t see it on a program, ask:  “Why aren’t you with the FPI?”

We’re especially looking for those of you who are willing to volunteer to take an active, hands-on role as we take our first steps.

  • Can you liaison directly with a theater or company and act as an FPI Agent?
  • Are you savvy with WordPress and willing to lend an online hand?
  • Do you want to subscribe or contribute to our Persons of Interest blog?
  • Would you like to follow us on Twitter?
  • Are you a part of our Facebook community?
  • Can you contribute ideas and take charge of web content to promote women playwrights?
  • Do you have a theater space or connections to one where we can hold gatherings and mixers?
  • Are you interested in reaching out to theaters & companies, and organizing groups to see plays by women in LA?
