Letter to “Women on the Fringe” & Fringe Femmes

Congrats on your show and thanks for finding us!

We’re looking forward to working with you to promote you and your show and connect you to other Fringe Femmes.

Here’s What You Do Next…

Mark Your Calendars for May 11th:

On Saturday, May 11th, 4-5:30pm,  join other Fringe Femmes online for a Virtual BYO Happy Hour, where we’ll chat, drink, snack and scheme; it’s a chance to get to know your fellow artists and create a network of support before the madness of the Fringe begins. And if you’re a female-identifying or nonbinary artist, share 1 page of your work to be included in our Micro-Reads!

Submit for Women on the Fringe:

Each year, we feature select HFF shows as part of  Women on the Fringe.

If your show is written by a woman or femme-identifying artist (or at least 50% female if multiple writers), we’ll be glad to include it! Submit your show by using this link: https://lafpi.com/about/submit-show/ (And remember to check “Women on the Fringe” and send us your graphics!)

Tell ’em You’re With the FPI:

For great cross-promotion, please include our Logo on your programs, websites and materials – flashing the badge makes it quick and easy to take positive action!

Click Here for Downloadable Logos.  (We’ll also try to make sure you’ve got Badges for your venue!)

Connect Through Social Media:

If you haven’t already, find us on Facebook.com/LAFPI. Constance Strickland, a formidable Fringe Femme who’s produced HFF shows, is again captaining a “LAFPI Fringe Femmes” Facebook Group to act as a discussion/bulletin board.  Join Here!

For Instagram we’re @thelafpi, connect with us and be sure to tag us; we’d love to post about your shows and help get the #HFF24 #womenplaywrights out there.

For More Support:

  • If you have an announcement or discount you’d like included in our eBlasts to members send a short (50-75 words) request for consideration with link(s) to [email protected]. Deadlines are 28th & 12th of each month.
  • Fringe Femmes who are behind the scenes this year will be doing #FringeFemmes Check-Ins, posted on our site.
  • While we don’t review shows, our Persons of Interest bloggers will again try to cover the work of Fringe Femmes. Email Blog Editor Robin Byrd at [email protected].

Really excited about the femme energy the surrounds the Fringe each year and we’re proud to be a part of it. But remember that we’re all volunteers. So if our response to your questions or materials is delayed, we’re working as fast as we can.

That said, feel free to shoot me any questions at [email protected], check out lafpi.com to see else we’re doing and definitely join our Mailing List for news, opps & updates. Thanks so much; I hope to catch your show!
