Jessie’s Messy Mind was created by artist, activist and mother, Jessie Knowles. It brings the audience inside the world of her experiences with bipolar and schizophrenia using authentic life stories, original music, humor and hope. You’ll follow Jessie as she searches for the truth about herself using the multiple characters that become different aspects of her inner experience, watch Jessie go through the rise and fall of hypo-manic love, y hear as she talks to the voices in her head, and go inside the thought process of a delusional state. All with a wild sense of humor and an enduring positivity, Jessie’s Messy Mind allows us to see the things that people don’t talk about. Jessie has struggled with the way our culture addresses and talks about mental health. She hopes that her show encourages people to change the way they think about their own journey and begin to talk about mental health in a new way.
