Show Info

Rogue Machine’s production of American Saga – Gunshot Medley: Part 1  by Dionna Michelle Daniel continues at the WLCAC Theatre starting October 5th.

A lyrical and mystical new play, with live music, American Saga – Gunshot Medley: Part  1 investigates the struggle against systemic racism. Set in a haunted North Carolina graveyard this intricately crafted work brings past and present together in a soulful tale of lives destroyed by deep-seated tensions and conflicts that have marred America’s history from antebellum south to the present day.

“I believe that art, especially live performance, has the potential to dramatically change hearts and mind,” says playwright Dionna Michelle Daniel. “It has the ability to plant the seeds of empathy, inquiry, and discussion. From those seeds, real social change begins.”

American Saga – Gunshot Medley: Part  1 marked Rogue Machine’s final production while in residence at the MET, playing through Setpember 23. It continues for a two week run at the WLCAC Theatre starting Friday, October 5th, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, Sundays at 2:00pm through October 14th.

Double cast, this ensemble play is starring Cherise Boothe, Jon Chaffin, Mildred Langford, Donathan Walters, Sha’Leah Nikole, and Derek Jackson. Desean Kevin Terry directs.
